Lyons in 8 starts ERA at Triple A. 5.01 ERA but has been getting no support from his defense he owns a 3.67 FIP. He’s actually owns pretty solid numbers minus the ERA, and the HR/9. 8.87 K/9, 24.0 K rate, 5.7 walk rate 2.12 BB/9 held opponents to a .239 AVG 1.16 WHIP in 8 starts.

Some interesting splits for the switch hitter Valera. He’s batting .424 against LHP from the right side of the plate small sample of 36 AB though, he’s batting .325 against RHP batting from the left side of the plate 120 AB. No wonder he has such a good knack at squaring up to the ball.

Maybe, but I really don’t have any reading about whether the Rays are trading for this year (doubt they would then trade Zobrist, Davis or McGee), or if they are trying to manipulate assets (Shields) for the future, which seems to be the direction in which they usually try to trade.
