I would only bring up Oscar if the Cards fall completely out of contention. I doubt that happens. If you bring up OT, then he will play everyday and Jay will sit. This gives him valuable exposure to the MLB for next season. Even elite prospects scuffle in their first taste of the show. I'd be happy to get OT a little along in his learning curve this season but there will likely be a cost. If we are still in the race, I think John Jay gives us the best chance to win ... at least in 2012. The other possibility is a cup of coffee in Sept. just to allow him to sit on the bench and soak up the atmosphere, maybe pinch hit and play a few innings in blow outs.
