Simple statement sir. Oscar Taveras and the violent controlled swing of chaos would go 4-4 with a HR, triple, double, and a single against the less violent delivery of Martinez/Matias. Martinez may be able to hide the ball effectively now but Taveras and his plus plus hand eye coordination and violent controlled swing would somehow make consistent hard contact.

DT, what would happen if Oscar Taveras and his violent controlled swing came up against Carlos Martinez and his less violent delivery?

What if this happened on a “free rifle” night at Springfield after several members in the crowd had just discovered they had fallen victim to a Fonzi Scheme: Confusing Henry Winkler with Marlon Brando and then losing thousands of dollars in the process?

And, lastly, wouldn’t it be a better world if everyone was more controlled and less violent? Isn’t that the Cardinal way?

It will be interesting to see if Miller’s velocity and plus plus movement/tailing action eating up hitters stays consistent. A goal for Miller in this start is to avoid the early inning struggles because he’s started slow in his past 2-3 outings and then settles down magnificently.

Also will be interesting to see if Carlos Martinez and his less violent delivery continue to be a groundball type pitcher.
