If indeed, O’Neil has been promoted to Springfield it’s very apparent that the org is loading the roster for a playoff run. With Spr in the post-season picture they have promoted Wacha there too. And if that’s not obvious enough, none of the hitters are leaving Springfield for Memphis even though there have been a bunch of recent openings.

I assume the Cards have weighed the options of their AA players either progressing to hiring development in AAA or have them experience the value of post-season pressure. Playoffs win!

And Silva’s a lefty.

He’s listed at 6-2, 190, at almost 20 years old.

Now I’m intrigued to see what he can do in the states next year.

NO-HITTER thrown by two Cardinal DSL pitchers! Quite the performance too. Isaac Silva hurled 7 innings of the no-no while striking out 15 batters. That’s right FIFTEEN!!! I assume his arm fell off and he was unable to finish as Frederis Parra pitched the final 2 frames, but with a pedestrian 2 punch outs. He’s not worthy.

Mike O’Neil promoted to Springfield will be interesting to see how that .440 OBP fares out in the Texas League. Alan Ahmady demoted to Palm Beach.

Apparently Blair is trying to break Gary Daley Jr’s record of career walks in the Cardinal system. I wonder if they’ll give him about 4 years to do it also.

There really is not much difference between Quad and PB. If you pitch well, command your piches you will be good in either league- you will get roughed up if you do not.
