In the highlight you can kinda see how super simple he keeps his swing. The stride kick is a bit high but he develops so much power with a such a compact swing. I kinda feel like he is a Ludwick type player in the pros maybe slightly better defender. Really that is a hugely valuable player. Great hitter with some borderline all star years.

Heard Dail Villanueva sits in the range of 88-92 on his fastball also throws a curve-ball that is his best secondary pitch but has been inconsistent some this season.

I need to do a write up on him from my notes when I saw him. I was a big fan. The strike outs do concern me but he didnt look like was lost at the plate. He can handle a fastball and hammered mistakes, but did go Soriano on a couple bad breaking balls that got him out. I think 24% is a bit of a statistical blip and that it will regress a bit. He has a shot of getting his strike out percentage slightly under 20% and raise his walk percentage over 10%. Combined that would a lot more papable.

I also really liked watching him in the field.

Dail Villanueva is putting together a solid season for QC in only his 2nd season in the US 24 games 114.2 IP 44 BB/ 86 K 4.08 ERA has been inconsistent at times but is a southpaw that has shown glimpse of ability at times is a very raw prospect as well.
