The system went 3-and-2 on a night that offered tons of free baseball. A rehabbing player stole the show offensively by displaying patience and power for Springfield. Ryan Sherriff had the best outing of the day for starting pitchers as he induced at least twice as many grounders as fly balls for the second straight start for Palm Beach. Details after the jump…

Sorry this is ugly but I am not sure what to do about it. Hang in there until we find an aesthetically pleasing fix to the site issue.

The system went 2-and-1 on the night. John Gast pitched well for a Memphis team that featured two players making rehab appearances on their way back to the parent club. (azruavatar note: This post was written on June 3rd and then the draft happened. As we continue to wind down our draft posts, we’re moving back into our more traditional writing of current prospects. Andy takes a look at Ryan Jackson, a superb gloveman, and wonders what our expectations should be for him when he’s wearing his batting gloves rather than fielding. All stats are taken as of June 3rd.)

Combining an already well-regarded glove with league average offensive production (98 wOBA+) in double-A Springfield last season, Ryan Jackson was ranked 12th in Future Redbirds’ 2012 Top 20 Prospect List compiled by Jeff and azruavatar. As far as I can tell, he had been unranked one year earlier. But Jackson didn’t only find himself on our radars this season as John Sickels ranked him 15th and Kevin Goldstein ranked him 11th.

Not too many standout performances today as Memphis salvaged the system’s only win and Palm Beach’s game was postponed. Eugenio Velez did have a nice day at the plate for Memphis and Ryan Jackson had an extra base hit, which is always a welcome sight. Seth Maness had a bit of a strange line for Springfield. Details after the jump…

[azruavatar note: Jeff and I will be doing individual recaps for rounds 11-20. We'll be posting them in order as we finish them and right now, I'm the hold up for reasons I won't get into. Stay tuned as we work our way through the draft. Rounds 11 & 12 are below.]

The system went 2-for-3 on the night. As a whole, the starting pitchers posted impressive strikeout-to-walk ratios with Anthony Ferrara compiling the most impressive line. Kolten Wong and Oscar Taveras powered Springfield to a high-scoring win, and Jonathan Rodriguez did the same for Palm Beach. Details after the jump…

The system nearly went winless tonight but Quad Cities rallied in the bottom of the 10th inning to knock off Burlington. All of the starters (Brandon Dickson, Trevor Rosenthal, Todd McInnis, and Tyrell Jenkins) had solid outings but the offense was pretty quiet across the board other than a home run by Xavier Scruggs. Details after the jump…

Thanks to azruavatar for covering my shift the past couple of nights while I was getting settled into a new apartment. And congrats to Anthony Ferrara Jr. (2.57/4.07 ERA/FIP), Starlin Rodriguez (.349 wOBA), and Mike O’Neill (.368 wOBA) for being selected to represent Palm Beach in the FSL’s 2012 All-Star Game. Seth Maness was also selected but will not participate since he has been promoted to Springfield, where he pitched very well tonight.

Memphis was shut out despite having more hits than their opponents. Springfield won in spite of quiet nights from Wong and Taveras. Jonathan Rodriguez hit his 2nd HR in 3 nights. Colin Walsh continued his impressive streak of hitting for Quad Cities. Details after the jump…
