Slow night on the farm with Michael Wacha’s relief performance being the most noteworthy outing of the evening.

Jonathan Singleton murdered Springfield, Brandon Dickson mowed down Tacoma and Palm Beach plays a double header as the system goes 2 and 5. Some solid pitching performances from soft-tossing lefties, although not without a few hits along the way. Shelby Miller has a fine outing for Memphis and Seth Maness continues to perform at Springfield. The system went 2-for-4 overall. Memphis featured a nice pitching performance and a pair of pitchers make debuts at levels. Another mixed night on the farm. Jaime Garcia makes another rehab start and Patrick Wisdom turns in the most impressive offensive line of the night in Batavia. Andy has the week off. I believe — if I’ve got my timeline right — that he’s now officially married and enjoying a honeymoon abroad. Congratulations, Andy. The rest of you will have to put up with more of me for the time being. A rather modest day on the farm with some nice offensive nights for familiar names in the short season clubs. The pitching included Trevor Rosenthal who had a rough outing. It was not a great night down on the farm as the teams posted a 2-3 record overall. Matt Williams, Casey Rasmus and Jeremy Patton all had a nice day at the plate which helped power Quad Cities to a victory. Johnson City posted a win and Ben Freeman had a nice start for Batavia though his bullpen let the victory slip away. Let’s get to the good stuff…. Quad Cities posted a win and Johnson City swept a doubleheader.
