I’ll preface these notes with the fact that, as Farm Director, it would be shocking to ever hear Vuch say something out and out negative about a player in the system. This is completely normal and Jeff Luhnow’s interviews — or any other club official for that matter — are often similar in this regard. So when Vuch tries to sell , say, Matt Adams as a respectable defender . . . . I’m skeptical but acknowledging of the role that he plays is, at least in part, Optimist-in-Chief of the Farm System when making public statements. |
